Office Part 1- The Floors

This has always been Care and I's favorite room. I am not sure if its the large windows or the rockin floor. But we probably wouldn't of done any floor treatment if the rest of the house had as cool as floors as the office.

Here it is on the night the house papers were signed. The carpet was hardly even tacked down to the floor

Then we pulled it up, and the floors in here were absolutely beautiful. I wish the rest of the house looked like this. This room by far had the best shape of floors

I don't know why I don't have a picture of the floors when they were sanded down. But I do have one with wet stain. It turned out too dark. (Eventually it lightened up a bit, but we still weren't satisfied. )

Then when it really dried it was obvious that it wasn't going to work. And we broke out the sander... again

Still a little rough, and I wish the lighting was better, but like the guest room, there is more of a contrast than the living room/dining room area. This room will be a beauty when its all said and done

2 weeks later:
Here is with one coat of polyurethane

We couldn't be more pleased.(This picture the light makes it look a little dark)  This space will be so nice to have for studying and being able to keep focused. Currently I study on my bed and you can imagine how well that goes. This room will be wonderful once its all said and done.

next up... PAINT!

Living Room Part 3- The floors (FINISHED!)

We are finally done with the floors and we couldn't be more excited!! I think that the floors turned out awesome. They are only going to look better after we paint.

Here you can see the difference the poly made.

After the first coat:

Here is the other side of the living room. (we are not quite sure what to call this space yet)

We are more than pleased with the look of this so far. Stay tuned... next up paint for this room!
